Software Process Improvement
Standards, Models and Measurement
This three-day course teaches participants how to design, improve and
implement software life cycle processes. The course adopts a straightforward
approach based on a number of international standards.
The course highlights and explains the differences between a process
metamodel, a process framework, an organisation process and a project process.
Several well-known process frameworks are described and compared. Participants
then learn how to use a framework as the starting point for designing an
organisation-specific process. Finally, tailoring guidelines are applied to the
creation of a project-specific process.
The importance of measurement as a tool for process improvement course is
emphasised throughout the course.
We also offer a one-day Software
Process Improvement Essentials course and a two-day Software
Process Design and Analysis course.
